Tessler Engenharia was chosen as the responsible for planning and managing the works of the Cidade Matarazzo.
The hotel and residential complex will have 150 guest rooms and 124 suites, two restaurants, a bar and a caviar lounge. It will be the first Rosewood international six-star palace hotel in Latin America, and the first project of architect Jean Nouvel and the Groupe Allard in the country.
The project is the largest patrimonial renewal ever seen in São Paulo, a totally contemporary proposal for the city and for the involved professionals. The work began in 2015 and currently the Rosewood tower and the Offices’ foundation are under construction.
A challenging work, because it concentrates new and old architecture, safeguarding of historical buildings, modernity, technology, plus various environments that combine art, creativity, luxury, comfort and information.
Figures are also impressive. According to the Groupe Allard, the work is estimated at BRL$ 1 billion; it has 145,000 square meter of construction, and shall generate 800 direct and 8,000 indirect jobs.
